Guess who's back, back again

That's right, I am!

I was thinking earlier about what I can do as a New Year's Resolution. I was thinking about the things that used to make me happy, and the things that kept me entertained. Finally I decided that the best option is to breathe a new life into this rusty old blog of mine.

I'm not sure what I'm going to talk about yet, but blabbing about school was always a fun (and favourite) topic of mine. There's always something about school to complain about - whether it's the insufferably mundane task of struggling through an hour with Ms. Myles, or struggling yet again to grasp the concept of trajectories in Physics. Physics really gets on my nerves, by the way.

Did I tell you about that time when I asked for help, only for the request to be thoroughly ignored and shunned aside? Well, obviously I didn't, because I haven't written anything here since... lemme check... July. Woah, that was a long time ago. Anyway, back on topic: After a lesson with Mr Webb, in which he told us that there would be a Physics mock on the following Monday, I told him that it's likely I won't do very well in the mock because I don't understand the majority of the work we've covered since going back. Instead of offering for me to go see him to go over things, he simply said, "That's a defeatist attitude, you're not going to get anywhere thinking like that." I know; he's so helpful.

What he failed to comprehend was that I was actually telling the truth when I said that I don't understand most of the work. Seriously, I haven't got a clue. It's all maths work, and I can't do maths in Physics; I can only do maths in Maths. But that's another story altogether.

I think the only solution is to purchase for myself one of those dreaded revision books. Perhaps the written word will speak more sense than the idiot teachers we have in our school.
See? School's always a fun topic to whinge about. For the time being, however, I shall resolve to shove all thought of school to the back of my mind. Tomorrow brings with it a trip to Cardiff, and with that comes lots of nice things in the form of books and DVDs. And a Starbucks, of course.

I might blog tomorrow, but I'm not sure. Expect more blogging from me in the new year!

Your most accomplished Whinge Master,

Scott
