I'm cold

We had a few pipes moved the other day, and this plumber, Howard did the honours. Unfortunately, he's really not that good of a plumber anymore. Must be his old age. Anyway, the pipe-moving meant that the whole system had to be drained. He did that, and sorted the pipes. Only now, the pipes are leaking. Meaning that we've had to turn off the heating. Which, of course, means that it's bloody freezing en mi casa. Yeah, how's that for some Spanish for you?

I was mega chuffed with myself yesterday; I actually managed to finish the comparison of Daffodils and Miracle on St. David's Day! It has literally taken me months to do it. So now that I've finished it, it feels like a big lump o' work's been lifted off my shoulders. Sound weird? Probably does. But who am I to judge?

I'll tell you who am I to judge: I'm the Supreme Chancellor of the Daemon-Raiders' Society. Look out, or my demons will come and get you.

Ignoring that temporary lapse in normality, I had Graphics on Thursday. And oh, what a heap of fun that was. I've been working on my Graphics. It's not my fault that he told me to do the work on a black 'n' white sheet, because it wouldn't print in colour and that he was moaning at me to redo it on a colour sheet. I've had to do more or less all of it again, yet he's still moaning that I'm not going to get my work done on time.

He needs to chillax. Doesn't he know my work methods? I wait 'til the latest possible time that something can be handed in, and then do it the night before. It seems to work for me, at least.

Oh, and I had to see Mr Gravell the other day. After I was sent there during reg, I went to walk into his office and he said, "Rho dau funud i fi plîs, Scott." So I did. I waited outside whilst he spoke to some other people about an incident involving a shoe. Only thing is, he took a little longer than two minutes. Try twenty.

But after that, I went into his office. He basically said that my work's good but I don't get enough of it done in time. So from this week onwards, I've got to "dedicate two dinner times to Graphics" and I've got to "work flat out." Sounds exciting, doesn't it?

Mr Webb gave us a retarded piece of homework to do. We had to make a "revision sheet" for the different models of atoms. Which, in my eyes, is rather pointless. Especially seeing as we've already got the information at the very beginning of the work units. Literally, the very beginning. So my question is this: What exactly is the point of doing it? There isn't one.

Oh! I bought Ed Byrne's stand-up DVD the other day. It's called Pedantic and Whimsical, and it's rather funny. I would put up a clip, only my internet ain't so great lately. (I know, that sentence is gramatically incorrect. "ain't" isn't actually a word, you know.)

I've also started reading Phillip Pullman's Northern Lights, which is the first book in the His Dark Materials Trilogy. I must say, at the moment, it's shaping up to be a rather good read. I want my own dæmon. But I can't get one. Mainly because Northern Lights is set in a different universe/dimension/call-it-whatcha-want.

I know I haven't blogged in a long time, and I know that people aren't visiting as often as they used to. I've got my hit counter to thank for that. But I shall make an effort to blog more often! *punches air in motivational manner*. See? That was the ultimate cue. But yeah, I'll try to get back to the usual 3-4 posts a week. I can't promise anything; I am rather busy at the moment, what with coursework deadlines and all, but I will try to make an effort.

But for now, I must bid you goodnight. Goodnight!
And even though I'm not exactly the biggest fan of them: *hugs*!
